The Non-League Football Paper - - NPL PREMIER - By Mike Barton

TWO sides with recent good form met at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium but a first-half blitz by the hosts sealed the points against Stafford Rangers.

Rangers were first to threaten on 19 minutes when Buxton keeper Theo Roberts tipped over from Port Vale loanee Harry Benns after good work from Josh Green.

The Bucks opened the scoring just two minutes later with Jude Oyibo finishing off after a fine pass from Callum Chippendale.

Ten minutes later it was two nil when Oyibo chased down a lost cause on the right and he squared for Diego De Girolamo to net from close range.

On 39 minutes it was three with De Girolamo finding the net again with aplomb after good work from man-of-thematch Alex Brown.

And it was Brown himself with the fourth on 42 minutes after Brad Grayson had won the ball and crossed superbly for the young Buxton left back to sweep home.

There were chances for both sides in the second half with Oyibo hitting a post and Ash Young blazing over before Stafford pulled one back 64 minutes when Benns crossed from the left for Green to hit home his second.

But the Bucks held on to extend their unbeaten run to eight games.

STAR MAN: Alex Brown (Buxton) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
