Bradford issues continue in loss

- By Tom Coates

ALTRINCHAM condemned Bradford to back-to-back defeats thanks to a winning strike from substitute Max Harrop.

The visitors took an early lead through Thomas Peers, who poked over the line after a John Johnston cross caused chaos.

Steven Drench was, however, forced to thwart Joshua Hancock after the forward found space in the box and struck with venom.

Altrincham stopper Elliot Wynne then made an impressive stop himself, pushing Shane Killock’s closerange strike wide.

Killock eventually got the better of Wynne, volleying into the roof of the net.

Seven minutes after the restart, Conor Branson latched on to Jake Beesley’s low cross and fired past Wynne.

The Robins responded just two minutes later as John Johnston’s deflected effort wrong-footed Drench.

Altrincham remained on the front foot and soon took the lead when substitute Harrop rifled into the bottom corner.

The hosts desperately hunted for an equaliser but Adam Nowakowski and Shane Killock both flicked headers wide of the post in the latter stages.
