BAFFINS Milton Rovers’ reward for beating New College Swindon 14-1 in the second round qualifying of the FA Vase is a trip to the New Forest to take on league rivals Bashley.

The all-Wessex tie is one of the headline games of the first round proper, which take place on Saturday October 13.

Combined Counties League high-fliers Chertsey Town have been handed a home tie against Hellenic Leaguers Flackwell Heath, while Hebburn Town, of the Northern League, host current leaders of the North West Counties League, City of Liverpool.

Leverstock Green netted ten past Unite MK in their first round qualifying match, and they will be at home to Sawbridgew­orth Town, while Avro, who marked their first-ever match in a national competitio­n with a 3-0 victory over Barnton in the last round, travel to Steeton.

Coventry United edged past Atherstone Town 2-1 in the second qualifying round, and their reward is a home tie against Wednesfiel­d, while much-fancied Sporting Khalsa, 7-0 victors over Stone Old Alleynians in the last round, host to Winsford United.

Southern Combinatio­n high-fliers Horsham YMCA host Kensington Borough, while Walsall Wood, who beat Uttoxeter 5-4 in a thrilling replay to book their spot in the draw, are away at Smethwick.

Twenty three new teams have entered the competitio­n at this stage, with winners receiving £825, and the losers £275.
