WOKING came back from two down to gain a point with a goal in stoppage time.

The Cards had the better of the opening half as they forced a series of set-pieces but the closest they came in the first 45 minutes was when on-loan Nottingham Forest midfielder Toby Edser was off target.

Town took the lead eight minutes before the break when Jack Compton cut in from the right and Craig Ross could only push out his drive to Karnell Chambers, who tapped home.

The Bluebirds doubled their lead eight minutes after the break as the Cards’ defence failed to deal with a long throw and good work from Will Richards saw the ball end up at Chambers’s feet and he drilled a low shot into the corner.

Woking clawed one back when Nuno Felix fouled Edser and Jamar Loza converted the kick. Nat Jarvis could have made the game safe for Town but the ball was cleared.

Edser and Max Kretzschmar wasted chances before the second minute of stoppage time saw a defender put into his own goal. Callum Gunner was then sent off for Chippenham for a second booking.
