WITH only three Premier Division games, both Sheppey United and Deal Town moved in to the top six.

Sheppey came from behind at halftime to win a thriller 4-3 at Crowboroug­h Athletic.

Dan Bradshaw gave the visitors the lead before Kieran Scantlebur­y and Tom Boddy gave the Crows a half-time lead.

Bradshaw levelled five minutes into the second half before Scantlebur­y restored the Crows’ lead but Rob Dennesslev­elled and Bradshaw completed his hat-trick.

Steve O’Brien scored twice as Deal Town ended Erith Town’s six-match winning streak with a 3-0 win. Sam Wilson netted between O’Brien’s brace.

Antonio Dembele scored the only goal in Glebe’s 1-0 win at Punjab United.

Welling Town came from 3-0 down to draw 4-4 with Lydd Town, Tyrus Gordon-Young and Enoch Adjei netting late on while Bridon Ropes beat ground-sharers Meridian 5-0.

Nathan Simpson scored twice, with Jacob Kolanda, Olawutin Olaoye and Richard Jimoh also finding the target.

Dorian Smith and Darren TitreWilso­n scored late goals in Lewisham Borough’s 3-0 win over Snodland Town whikle Sam Bewick’s 90thminute goal saw Corinthian beat AFC Croydon Athletic 2-1.

HELLENIC LEAGUE

PAUL CARTER BRACKLEY Town Saints remain at the top of the table following a 3-1 victory at second-from-bottom Abingdon United.

Ascot United beat visitors Windsor 4-2 thanks to two goals from Nathan Minhas and one each from Harry Laflin and Jean-Claude Etienne.

Jack Watts and Joe Bates were on target as Bishops Cleeve beat Tuffley Rovers 2-1 while Lewis Thompson scored as Lydney Town saw off Fairford Town.

Shrivenham beat visitors Longlevens 4-2 with a double from Josh Parsons and a goal each from Tom Ballard and Antonio Gerrish.

Wantage Town recorded their first win in three games by trouncing visitors Reading City 4-2 after twice coming from behind, with Jack Dunmall, Ryan Markham, Steve Robertson and Harvey Scholes on target.

An injury-time header by Dean Munday earned hosts Holmer Green 2-2 draw against Royal Wootton Bassett Town after Lewis Workman had given the home side a secondminu­te lead. Nick Stanley and Bradley Paglairoli were on target for the visitors.

Virginia Water drew 1-1 with Brimscombe & Thrupp while in the Supplement­ary Cup, Woodley Sports had a 2-0 win over Pewsey Vale and Ardley United won 7-0 at Chalgrove Cavaliers in the Oxfordshir­e Cup.

EASTERN COUNTIES

a HISTON remain three points clear at the top despite having their home game against Framlingha­m Town abandoned in the second half due to a serious injury to a Framlingha­m player.

Histon were leading 3-0 after Lee Smith had scored twice, with Matt Green also on target.

Buster Harradine and Joe Furness were both on the scoresheet for Godmanches­ter Rovers as they climbed up to second in the table with a 2-1 victory at Kirkley & Pakefield.

Max Melanson, Remi Garrett and Jack Baker were fourth-placed Stowmarket Town’s goalscorer­s as they beat bottom side Great Yarmouth United.

Elsewhere, Ben Garnham and Ryan Keeble both struck twice for Woodbridge Town in a crushing 5-1 home victory over struggling Hadleigh United and Thetford Town ran out 2-0 winners over Brantham Athletic.

Jack Watson and Michael Shinn were Newmarket Town’s scorers in a 2-1 away success over FC Clacton and Ely City moved four points clear of the bottom three after an impressive 40 home win against Long Melford.

Walsham-le-Willows beat Gorleston 2-1 at home and Haverhill Rovers to beat Norwich United 1-0.

ESSSEX SENIOR LEAGUE

THE GAME of the day between Hullbridge Sports and Sporting Bengal United at Lower Road lived up to all expectatio­ns.

Nathan Scarboroug­h and Emmanuel Okunja gave Hullbridge a 2-0 half-time lead but goals from Kamarl Duncan, Jay Knight and Steven Carvell turned things around for United. But Scarboroug­h went on to complete his hat trick and win the game 4-3.

Stansted lost 2-1 at home to Hoddesdon Town, for whom Joe Lillis and Connor Bolton scored.

Mitchell Das scored the only goal for Takeley as they joined Saffron Waldron on 36 points at Catons Lane.

Leyton Athletic could not hold a 2-0 lead at home to Southend Manor, going down 3-2.

Sawbridgew­orth won 3-2 at home to Redbridge thanks to a double from Joe Wright and it also finished 3-2 at West Essex, where the home team went down two Clapton.

The day’s top scorers were Ilford, who heaped more misery on bottom club Barkingsid­e with a 5-1 win.

Enfield played Co-Grandchair­Tenants Woodford Town at Harlow and led at half-time but Woodford hit three without reply after the break to take the points.

St Margaretsb­ury beat Stanway Rovers 2-1 thanks to Thomas Cowell’s late goal and Walthamsto­w were 2-0 winners at Tower Hamlets.

SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS

THE GAME of the day came at the Carlsberg Stadium, where Biggleswad­e entertaine­d local rivals and fellow high-flyers Arlesey Town.

Lorrell Smith scored the only goal of the first half for the visitors but Biggleswad­e put in an outstandin­g second-half showing as they went on to win 4-1, with Lee Northfield scoring twice.

It’s a result that sees Biggleswad­e move top of the table after Tring Athletic lost for the second time in five days and went down 2-0 at home to Wembley.

Hadley stay third after despite losing 1-0 at home to Colney Heath, Danny Fitzgerald proving to be Heath’s match-winner thanks to an excellent long-range strike.

Biggleswad­e United continued their fine form as they won 4-0 at London Colney, with skipper Ieaun Lewis among their scorers.

Stotfold remain both bottom and winless this season after they lost 2-1 at London Tigers.

They are joined in the bottom two by Harpenden Town after Cockfoster­s beat North Greenford United 3-1 at home, player-manager Ryan Wade once again on target.

Elsewhere, Leverstock Green lost 1-0 at home to Leighton Town and Potton United beat Crawley Green 50, with Danny Webb and Jim Burnside among the goals. CHRIS MITCHELL

SOUTHERN COMBINATIO­N

HORSHAM YMCA retained their four-point advantage at the top with a 5-3 home win against Little Common.

Dean Bown and Alex Barbary both netted twice for the league leaders.

Newhaven remain second after securing a 2-1 home victory against fifth-placed Saltdean United, Tom Cooklin and Lee Robinson both on target.

At the opposite end of the league, Arundel dropped into the bottom three after suffering a crushing 7-3 defeat away to struggling Loxwood, with Mark Goldson netting twice for the home side.

Jake Lindsey struck a dramatic 90thminute winner for Hassocks to hand them a 3-2 home victory over Lingfield and lift them out of the relegation places at the expense of Arundel.

Elsewhere, sixth-placed Crawley Down Gatwick ran out 3-0 winners at home to Langney Wanderers and Lancing lost 3-0 at home to AFC Uckfield Town.

Zac Attwood, George Taggart and Aaron Capon were Eastbourne Town’s scorers in a 3-0 victory against fourthplac­ed Pagham and there was a 4-1 success for Peacehaven & Telscombe against Shoreham.

Broadbridg­e Heath beat East Preston 2-1 and the match between Eastbourne United and Chichester City was postponed.

NORTHERN COUNTIES EAST

YORKSHIRE Amateur bolstered their place at the top of the table with a 3-0 win at Athersley Rec but it was second-placed Penistone Church’s 1-0 defeat by Worksop Town that provided all the talking points.

The game was into the final minute when the Tigers were awarded a penalty following a foul on Steve McDonnell, Matt Sykes dispatchin­g the spot-kick.

Tempers then flared at the end of the game, with the referee sending off two players from each side - Brett Lovell and Sam Scrivens for the hosts and Kyle Jordan and Michael Trench for Worksop.

There was no such drama for the league leaders though as Ashley Flynn and a Brice Tiani double eased Amateur to their 3-0 win.

Bridlingto­n Town’s barnstormi­ng run up the table continued with a 4-1 win at home to Albion Sports, making the most of Knaresboro­ugh Town’s 10 defeat to Handsworth Parramore.

Two goals from Jordan Hendrie helped Thackley chalk up the biggest win of the day – 5-1 at Goole – while two goals in three minutes from Lewis Bemrose helped Bottesford Town to a 3-2 win over Hall Road Rangers.

There were also wins for Barton Town and Liversedge while Maltby Main and Hemsworth MW picked up draws at Staveley MW and Eccleshill United respective­ly.

NORTH WEST COUNTIES

LEAGUE leaders City of Liverpool lost their top-of-the-table tussle with nearest challenger­s Congleton Town 3-0, who closed to within five points.

Goals from Thomas Schofield, Emini Adegbenro and Dan Cope did the damage in front of more than 300 at Ivy Gardens.

Abbey Hey stay rooted to the foot of the table after they were hammered 71 by a rampant Barnoldswi­ck Town, for whom striker Zack Dale bagged a hat-trick.

There was another goal-fest in the mid-table clash between Burscough and Padiham which finished 3-3, while Bootle battered Silsden 7-0 to climb up to fifth place – Ryan Cox and Carl Pears scoring two goals apiece.
