Rangers are going deep

UNITED Counties Premier outfit Deeping Rangers reached the fourth round of the FA Vase for only the first time in their history with a 4-2 home win over FC Clacton.

Dan Jarvis grabbed a double and there were solitary goals for Dan Schiavi and Michael Simpson. The Essex side’s goals came from a Karl Andrade penalty and Jake Plane. Cray Valley PM returned from Sheppey United with a 4-0 win thanks to two goals from Joe Nguessan and one each from Francis Babalola and Anthony Edgar, all of them coming in the final 23 minutes until which point the hosts gave as good as they got.

Sulieman Nassor, who opened the scoring after just five minutes, Chris Anastasi, Connor Brown-Wingfield and Tariq Wilson all netted for a young Leicester Nirvana side in their 4-0 win at Westfields. Joe Pheasant, Sam Moore and Karl Whymark were on target as Shepshed Dynamo ousted visitors NKF Burbage, who were reduced to 10 men in the second half when Mitchell Barwick was sent off for a second yellow card.

Kieran Knight grabbed the winner for visitors Eastwood Community in their 2-1 win at Total Motion Midland League high flyers Ilkeston Town, Patrick Webb earlier broken the deadlock for the East Midlands Counties minnows turned giant killers. There was a double for Luke Mortimore and a first goal of the season for Brett Worbey as hosts Willand Rovers hit three without replay past Bodmin Town.

Callum Dart helped himself to a brace and Tommy Leigh one goal as Baffins Milton Rovers returned from Bradford Town with a 3-1 victory, both teams having had to take time to adapt to the wet pitch surface.
