HEBBURN TOWN came out on top in this all Northern League eight-goal thriller.

Ben Dibb-Fuller scored a hattrick as The Hornets stung 2018 finalists Stockton. He opened the scoring in the 16th minute, picking up the ball 25 yards out before firing into the right side of the goal.

The away side doubled their lead before half-time, the experienced Lee Kerr the architect, and Michael Richardson finishing off. It was then three when Richardson broke through Stockton’s defence in the 68th minute before squaring to Dibb-Fuller for an easy finish.

It was the same provider again as Richardson swung in a brilliant free-kick for Louis Storey to get on the end of and tap in from close range.

The Hornets were in cruise control and when Michael Arthur got down low to stop a cross he turned it into DibbFuller’s path for the striker to complete his hat-trick.

Stockton got a goal back in the 81st minute through Fred Woodhouse, which kick-started a late rally as he added a second and Pete Bulmer turned in a cross following a deflection, but it was too little, too late. STAR MAN: Ben Dibb-Fuller (Stockton) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
