Charlie was king of the Palace

The Non-League Football Paper - - NEWS - RAY BAKER Croydon, Surrey

I ENJOYED the article by Jon Couch (NLP, November 25) about the return of Charlie Sheringham to Dartford FC and Princes Park Stadium this season

Living in Croydon, I used to watch Crystal Palace Reserves play at Bromley FC under Peter Taylor at Bromley and what a team it was! Julian Speroni in goal, Matt Fish, Dave Martin, Lewis Grabban and, of course, Charlie. Charlie speaks highly about Andy Pugh, another Darts legend, who cruelly suffered a double leg fracture in a pre-season friendlly against Colchester.

Andy is slowly on the mend and his spirits will be boosted after the home game against Hungerford on December 22 when an Andy Pugh Benefit Evening will start at 6pm.

This is what NonLeague clubs are all about. Have a great and rewarding evening Andy!
