REYNOLDS IS LIVING THE DREAM

-

CALLUM REYNOLDS has already met his dream match in this year’s FA Cup – even before his Barnet side lock horns with Championship high-flyers Sheffield United. The Bees captain, a huge Chelsea fan, made the short trip to Stamford Bridge for Monday night’s third round draw and ended up meeting Blues idols Ruud Gullit and Gianfranco Zola! “It was great to meet Ruud and Franco,” the former Boreham Wood and Aldershot Town defender told Barnet TV. “I’ve actually got pictures of them when I was younger so it’s great to get some new ones to put in the memory book.” Barnet will be making their first third-round appearance since 2018 when they make the trip to Bramall Lane on January 5 and Reynolds can’t wait to lock horns with the Blades in front of an expected bumper crowd. He added: “It’s a good draw. I looked at the teams before we came here, Sheffield United are a big club at a big ground so it will definitely be a great day out for everyone. “Hopefully we can get a lot of Barnet fans down there to support us. It’s a big stadium, they will have strong support too, so hopefully we can do our best to match it.”
