ALL at The NLP would like to offer their respects to three Non-League stalwarts who passed away this week.

John Weeks, chairman of the United Counties League, died last weekend. John was an instrumental part of the league’s success and growth over the last 30 years.

Meanwhile, we were deeply shocked to hear of the sudden death of Peter Lee, who was killed in a car crash on Tuesday evening while travelling back from a game at Ashton Athletic. And on Friday, the sad news filtered into our office that Joe Varian – a loyal servant to Weston-Super-Mare who had also contributed to this paper – had passed away. Our thoughs are with their families and loved ones.
