Wilson pegs back the Nailers late
HOME STAND to kill off 13-month unbeaten run TUNDE’S FUN DAY JUST RAD-ICAL
BELPER Town were held at home to Lincoln City in the battle of the two promotionchasing sides.
On his debut, Ross Duggan broke the deadlock for the Nailers after 20 minutes, with a well-controlled low volley.
Lincoln equalised three minutes into the second half when Thomas Garrick’s misplaced cross looped over Belper goalkeeper Leigh Overton’s head into the top corner.
With 25 minutes left, City keeper Philip McGann brought down the lively George Milner when he was through on goal and referee, Paul Stonier pointed to the spot and booked McGann.
Craig Nelthorpe converted the resulting penalty and that looked to be enough for Belper until Mattew Wilson bundled the ball home from a free-kick on 76 minutes.
Lincoln finished the match with only nine men after substitutes Kallum Smith and Kevin Hemagou both saw red late on but neither side found a winner.
