WHEN Liam Ferdinand equalised for Bracknell after 17 minutes following a period of pressure, it looked as though they could go on to steal the points. OLUWOLE Akinsanya’s early goal helped fire Cheshunt back to winning ways and breathe new life into their title challenge.

After two South Central Division games without a win, the Ambers got themselves back on an upward curve with all three points at Uxbridge, keepwere ing them inside the play-off positions and still within touching distance of leaders Marlow.

Akinsanya got his team off to a dream start in west London, taking advantage of a mix-up between the hosts’ Mitchell Wiseman and Jamie Norris to slot home with just three minutes gone.

Uxbridge’s afternoon got worse as, having lost goalie Norris to injury early in the second period with all three substitutes already made, they forced to soldier on with Craige Tomkins in goal.

He would keep a clean sheet, however, with Jason Hallett having scored the Ambers’ second minutes earlier.
