The Non-League Football Paper - - SOUTHERN PREMIER SOUTH - By Nick Wilson

A CONTENTIOUS match at the Camrose saw Chesham win by the odd goal in five and the officials draw the ire of the home crowd.

After a slow beginning the visitors took the lead as Eoin Casey rose at the far post to head home a corner Basingstoke argued should have been a goal kick.

The goal opened the match up and the hosts quickly levelled, Sam Argent peeling off his man to glance home Zidan Akers' cross at the far post.

Chesham had chances as Bradley Clayton blazed off target and Dean Stow cleared another Casey header off the line and the Dragons took advan- tage, Argent feeding Ben Wright who slotted coolly past Ben Goode.

After Wright lifted a shot over early in the second half Chesham took control, Steve Brown taking his chance to head home before Ronny Mfinda latched onto a deflected shot to convert from close range as the hosts protested the lack of an offside flag.

Home fans were further incensed as Argent received a straight red card for a strong tackle on David Sota, the referee overruling his assistant to send him off.

The Dragons had late chances, Sam Deadfield whistled a shot just wide but Chesham saw out time to collect all three points.
