- By Jay Taylor

IT FINISHED all square at the i2i Stadium as Tadcaster Albion played out a draw with Cleethorpes Town, but the home side left somewhat disappointed not to take maximum points.

In a fast-paced swirling first half of frenetic action, Joe Lumsden squandered a glorilast ous chance to break the deadlock on the half hour mark. Billy Whitehouse crossed majestically but Lumsden could not supply the finishing touch.

As the half entered its final moments, the buoyant Owls edged ahead. Good work from skipper Alex Flett set up Josh Batty, who couldn’t miss and performed a binoculars celebration, inspired by Leeds United’s spy gate.

Taddy were desperate for a goal after firing blanks in their three outings, and finally broke their duck when Lumsden was first to a rebound to make up for his miss. The Brewers looked the more likely side to win but it ended level.
