HOWE’S THAT FOR FORM?

- By Kevin O'Donohoe

BRISTOL Manor Farm recorded their first backto-back league victories of the season with a 4-1 win over Barnstaple Town.

The Portwaymen got off to a flyer when Lloyd Mills headed bravely into the opposite corner of the net from a Jordan Metters cross.

They doubled their lead seven minutes into the second half when Troy Simpson hit a spectacular scissor-kick.

Simpson then made it 30 in the 65th minute, sliding a well-hit low shot past the keeper.

Barnstaple got a goal back when Saddam Bello scored just seconds after his introduction from the bench.

Farm skipper Owen Howe sealed the win for the home side in the 77th minute when he created space for himself on the edge of the box before rifling a sweet finish into the bottom corner from 20 yards. Elsewhere, Moneyfields comfortably saw off

AFC Totton 2-0 after a quickfire first-half double from Dan Wooden gave them victory.

Wooden opened the scoring with a close-range header following a beautiful ball from Sam Pearce and doubled his account just a minute later when he volleyed into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Totton had their chances in the second half but overall it was a welldeserved victory for Moneys. Meanwhile, Larkhall

Athletic thrashed Street 4-1 away from home.

Mitchell Page gave the away side the lead with a header at the back post before Lewis Powell added to their lead with a powerful effort into the top corner.

Harry Hopes then added a third from a swift counter-attack to ensure it was over as a contest before half-time.

Powell scored again after 57 minutes but Street did get a consolation goal after a fine lobbed effort from Edward Butcher.

A Ryan Turner hat-trick gave Bideford an impressive 3-1 win over league leaders Yate Town.

Turner headed in unmarked from a rightwing cross to open his account for the afternoon and grabbed his brace after a sharp spin and strike.

Yate got back into the game after half-time when Harry Warwick slotted home but a strike from the corner of the box, Turner capped off his hat-trick in style. Highworth Town easily beat Slimbridge 4-0 to record their eighth win of the season.

Early goals from Wayne Turk and Darren Jeffries gave the home side a great start.

Skipper Turk made it 3-0 on 49 minutes, following up after the visiting keeper touched a free-kick onto a post, and Callum Parsons rounded off the scoring with 12 minutes remaining. Melksham Town slumped to a 4-0 home loss against Paulton Rovers.

Although they were level at half-time, the second period saw the visitors put the home side to the sword.

From the restart, Jack Ball waltzed through the home defence before driving a low effort home to put Paulton 1-0 ahead.

On 57 minutes, Ball tucked away a penalty to put Paulton 2-0 up whilst Ryan Gay took advantage of the home keeper’s slipup to put the visitors 3-0 ahead.

On 83 minutes, Sam Jordan nodded home Paulton’s fourth and the final goal of the game to leave Melksham on a run of five successive defeats. Finally, Mangostfield

United earned a valuable point in their battle against relegation as they drew 0-0 with Evesham United.

They had to do it the hard way when shortly before half-time as keeper Kieran Hodges was injured and was diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder.

Substitute Colin Mugoya-Tabingwa donned the orange jersey, and backed by a very capable defensive display, held firm against a strong Robins side.

A vital point sees the Mangoes move four points clear of the relegation zone while Evesham are fifth.
