DONNELLY AT THE DOUBLE GEORDIES HIT ROMANIA FOR SIX

Midfielder blasts in two from the spot to guide leaders to victory

- By Malcolm Paice

HANWELL exacted revenge on their visitors for a 1-0 defeat back in September with an emphatic home triumph.

Town went ahead after two minutes when skipper Olly Duffy headed in, after a Tom Collins corner had been met by Harry Tamplin.

The visitors were not disUngureanu heartened and deservedly equalized in the 25th minute through Sudayisi Sendege.

As half-time beckoned, Town went in front again, Calum Duffy touching in Jack Waldren’s inswinging corner.

It didn’t ease up after the break, with two Collins strikes from free-kicks sandwiching a Gareth Chendlik penalty to give Hanwell a 5-1 advantage.

The spot-kick followed an off the ball challenge that earned Romania’s Bogdan a red card. The dangerous Chidubem Onokwai reduced arrears before Harry Rush completed the scoring to make it 18 goals in the last two games at the Powerday Stadium.
