ROYSTON TOWN 0 KING’S LYNN TOWN 1 FRASER IS LATE STAR AS LINNETS FLY HIGH

- By Duncan Easley

A 91ST-MINUTE goal from Frazer BlakeTracy gave Kings Lynn Town victory in a game that had looked like being a goalless draw throughout the whole 90 minutes.

Chances were few and far between as both teams cancelled each other out for large chunks of the game, with defences remaining on top throughout the fixture.

The first half was a largely forgettable affair, with the only chance falling to Josh Castiglione, who saw his close-range header well saved by away goalkeeper Alexander Street after an accurate and well-placed cross from Sam Corcoran. The second half folllowed the pattern of the first half, with little goalmouth action to keep the crowd entertained.

The introduction of James Potton for Royston in the 76th minute almost paid an immediate dividend, as he combined well with Sam Corcoran, who prodded his shot wide, when he really should of hit the target.

With the game petering out to a draw, good work from substitute Ryan Hawkins down the right hand flank, saw him produce a low cross that was turned in at the back post by full-back Blake-Tracy, to steal the three points and continue the Linnets push for a play-off place this season.
