THE SHOCK RESULT of the day came in Premier South where leaders Hinckley LRFC lost for the first time in 24 games as they went down 4-2 at home to mid-table Cogenhoe United.

On target for the visitors were Tom Wakley with a brace and Rico Alexander and Archie Elmore.

Second-place Harborough Town narrowed the gap with a 4-2 home win over Godmanches­ter Rovers with Ben Williams, James Ireland, Dan Cooper and Joel Carta on target.

Louis Samuels, Marshall Keenan, from the spot, and Abdul Sunmonu were on target for Lutterwort­h Town in their 3-0 victory at Wellingbor­ough Town.

Coventry Sphinx won 2-1 at Long Buckby with Callum Stewart and Louis Guest netting while Andre Williams scored both GNG Oadby Town goals in their 2-0 victory at Northampto­n ON Chenecks.

An own goal gave hosts Rugby Town a 1-0 win over Coventry United and Christian Smail and Ben Shepherd scored for Newport Pagnell Town in their 2-0 win at Biggleswad­e United.

Easington Sports beat Bugbrooke St Michaels 2-1 away with strikes from James Watts and Levi Steele and Rothwell Corinthian­s drew 0-0 at home to

Desborough Town.

Unbeaten Premier North leaders Long Eaton United won 3-0 at Deeping Rangers with goals from Alex Marshall, Keiran Walker and Kam Campbell but the visitors had Reco Fyfe sent off for retaliatio­n with seven minutes left.

Second-placed Gresley Rovers beat visitors Newark 4-0 thanks to a Steve Hart hat-trick and a goal from Alex Morris while goals from Kern Miller, Mason Lee and Ken Bayliss gave hosts Anstey Nomads a 3-0 win over Boston Town.

Doubles from Ben Henderson and Nathan Kelly saw Eastwood CFC beat basement visitors Holbeach United 4-1 and hosts Loughborou­gh Students hit four goals in the last 15 minutes to come from behind to beat Heanor Town 4-1, with Ollie Parsons bagging a brace and Top Fadahunsi and George Wilson hitting one each.

Christophe­r Camwell scored twice and Ben Gowing once as Quorn beat visitors

Heather St Johns 3-1. And despite a late fightback by Pinchbeck United, Melton Town won 4-3 while Sleaford Town lost 2-1 at Skegness Town who netted through George Hobbins and Jonathan Lockie.

HANWORTH VILLA are now leading Premier North by 20 points following their 3-0 win at Southall.

On target were Ben Merson and Meshach Williams before Sam Merson converted a late penalty.

At the opposite end of the table, Holyport hauled themselves off the bottom with a 3-1 home win over St Panteleimo­n thanks to a brace from Ashley Hunt and a Tobi Shoyoye goal.

Trouble flared during Reading City’s 3-1 home win over Wembley. In front of a crowd of 270, including Reading’s mayor Rachel Eden, the visitors had four players plus their boss sent off, while a City player was also red carded.

Connor Richardson hit two goals for Reading, and Joe Pilling one.

Two goals from Casey Bocarro and goals from Ben Harris and Turnell Sinclair saw Virginia Water triumph 5-0 at CB Hounslow United.

Tadley Calleva versus Burnham and Egham Town versus North Greenford United both ended 1-1 while Edgware Town saw off visitors Wokingham & Emmbrook 4-3 with two goals, including a penalty, from Moe Khadum and goals from Nile Waite and Kleron James.

Harry Laflin and Duarte Surpanu were on target in Ascot United’s 2-1 win at Spelthorne Sports whilev two goals from Excellence Muhemba saw Windsor beat Abbey Rangers 2-1.

Premier South leaders Walton & Hersham lost 3-0 at Badshot Lea who netted through Nick Medcraft, Billy Upton and Mal Thomas.

Three points behind in second spot with three games in hand are Beckenham Town who beat visitors Fleet Town 3-1 with a brace from Steve Townsend and a goal from Tunde Aderomu.

Third are Jersey Bulls who won 4-0 at

Frimley Green thanks to a Sol Solomon hat-trick and a goal from Daryl Wilson.

Elsewhere, a Laurie Goddard double and a goal from Tom Read gave hosts Balham a 3-0 victory over Farnham Town and Jake Miles netted for Camberley Town in their 1-0 home win over

AFC Croydon Athletic.

Horley Town lost 2-1 at home to

Cobham whose Monty Everett hit a brace and Redhill lost 1-0 at Raynes Park Vale who scored through Nes Bellikli. Colliers Wood United won 2-1 at Sheerwater and Guildford City were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Molesey.

MIDLAND LEAGUE

DOMINIC DELL was the toast of Castlecrof­t after his early strike proved enough to hand AFC Wulfrunian­s a slender 1-0 win at home to city neighbours Wolverhamp­ton Casuals.

There were just four minutes on the clock when a free-kick picked out Jack Downing who squared the ball to Dell who tucked it away at the far post.

The win means second placed Wulfs closed the gap on leaders Hanley Town to 15 points after the Staffordsh­ire side were held to a goalless draw by visitors

Tividale.

Fellow high-fliers Boldmere St Michaels also had to settle for a solitary point as they drew 1-1 at Stourport Swifts - Harry Craven’s effort five minutes from time cancelling out a Ben Jevons goal for the Walshes Meadow outfit.

Stone Old Alleynians were 3-0 winners at Haughmond with the goals coming from Ryan Goodwin, Sam Wilson and Jack Tomlinson.

It was the same scoreline at Lye Town where the hosts eased past Romulus thanks to first half efforts from Ryan Bridgewate­r and Adam Meacham before Jake Lloyd wrapped up the scoring in added on time.

Elsewhere, Shifnal Town were 2-0 winners at home to Worcester City, Uttoxeter Town beat Racing Club Warwick by the same score and Walsall Wood and Lichfield City drew 0-0.

The pick of the results in Division One was Dudley Town’s 6-1 derby victory over Dudley Sports with five of the goals coming from Matty Gardner.

BISHOPS CLEEVE sit nine points clear at the top of the Premier Division following their 2-0 win at Longlevens, Jordan Annear giving them a seventh-minute lead before Kevin Slack added a second after 69 minutes.

Malvern Town went down 4-1 at

Westbury United who netted via Daniel Price, Harvey Flippance Sam Jordan and Joe Stradling.

Harlie Price netted for hosts Brimscombe & Thrupp as they beat Chipping Sodbury Town 1-0 while Jack Sheppard-Cozens bagged a brace and Elliot Gardner one goal in Thornbury Town’s 3-1 win at Shrivenham.

Tuffley Rovers saw off visitors

Hereford Lads Club 3-1 with goals from Jacob Geddes, Warren Mann, from the spot, and Joe Shutt. Elsewhere, Westfields drew 1-1 at home to Bradford Town while the Roman Glass St George versus Calne Town game was abandoned in the 40th minute after a player’s serious head injury. On Friday, a Steve Murray goal earned Cribbs a 1-0 victory at Hallen.

In Division One, a brace from Chris Zebrovski and a goal from Jack Hobson-McVeigh gave Malmesbury Victoria a 3-0 win at Abingdon United.

Josh Willis, Sam Clark and Scott Hammond scored for Pershore Town in a 3-0 win at Littleton and a double from Jordan Cooper saw Newent Town beat hosts Bourton Rovers 2-0.

Toby Wildig hit two and Adam Hockey one as Hereford Pegasus beat FC Stratford 3-1 and Stonehouse Town lost 3-0 at Cirenceste­r Town Developmen­t.

CHATHAM TOWN continue to set the pace at the top after they beat

Erith Town 3-0 at the Bauvill Stadium.

Jack Evans gave the Chats a 14th minute lead but the Dockers held on before Dan Bradshaw and Rhys Bartlett both scored in the last five minutes.

Sheppey United and Glebe continue to chase after both enjoying away wins. Henry Dasofunjo’s 42nd minute goal gave Sheppey a 1-0 win away at Holmesdale while Kalvin Moraith-Gibbs gave Glebe a second minute lead at Hollands & Blair. They then had to wait until the 86th minute for Ainsley Everitt to net their second. Rickey Freeman’s reduced the arrears to 2-1 in the last minute.

Welling Town won 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller at K Sports. Herve Mbongue gave Sports an early lead, but Rob Brown netted twice to send Welling in 2-1 up at the break. Adebola Sotoyinbo gave the visitors a two-goal cushion but Ziyad Ghali and an Mbongue penalty appeared to have earned the hosts a point.

The drama wasn’t over though, and Sotoyinbo scored a penalty in the eighth minute of added time to win it!

Elliott Duncan’s double set Crowboroug­h Athletic on the way to a 5-0 win over Lordswood while a James Hawkins penalty saw Erith & Belvedere beat Deal Town 1-0. Elsewhere, Will Johnson-Cole also netted the only goal from the spot as Punjab United won 1-0 at Rusthall and Josh Strouts and Luke Ilsley scored as Canterbury City beat

Fisher 2-1.

LITTLEHAMP­TON TOWN are now just a point clear at the top of the table after suffering a dramatic 4-3 defeat at home to third placed Saltdean United on Saturday, Joe Shelley, Tom Caplin, Reece Hallard and Marcus Allen all on target for the visitors.

Second-placed Newhaven closed the gap to leaders Littlehamp­ton as Alfie Rogers’ second half goal was enough to hand them a 1-0 home win against

Alfold.

Elsewhere, Jack Shonk struck a hattrick for fifth-placed Bexhill United as they secured a comfortabl­e 4-1 away victory against Hassocks and Pagham remain in fourth place despite being held to a goalless draw away to AFC Uckfield Town.

AFC Varndeania­ns boosted their survival chances as Tom Boyle netted twice for them in an impressive 3-0 away success against Horsham YMCA and bottom side East Preston appear doomed to relegation after a heavy 6-0 defeat away to Peacehaven & Telscombe.

James Miriam-Batchelor grabbed a brace as Little Common beat

Broadbridg­e Heath 2-1 at home and Charlie Pitcher’s goal was enough to give

Crawley Down Gatwick a 1-0 away win against Steyning Town.

In the day’s other two games, Loxwood lost 2-0 at home to Eastbourne United Associatio­n and Louis Veneti and Aaron Hopkinson were sixth placed

Eastbourne Town’s goal scorers as they beat Lingfield 2-1 at home.

TOP-OF-THE-TABLE Horndean kept their spot at the summit with a 3-1 away win at AFC Stoneham.
