THREE SECOND HALF goals saw

Grimsby Borough crowned champions as they beat Maltby Main 3-0 on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, Jack Debnam scored twice, either side of Adam Drury’s goal, as Grimsby secured a place in Step 4 for the first time in their history.

Sherwood Colliery started the day in second but finished it in fourth spot as they were beaten 2-0 by Eccleshill United, who move above them into third place thanks to Talent Ndlovu and Aiden Day’s goals.

Winterton Rangers took full advantage to climb to second as Josh Walker scored the only goal in their 1-0 win at home to AFC Mansfield.

Garforth Town fell to fifth, but only two points behind Sherwood as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Penistone Church, Garforth’s James Burgess levelling Edwards Newsome 89th minute strike.

At the bottom, Albion Sports moved within a point of safety as they beat

Goole 2-1 thanks to goals from Oliver Russon and Mohammed Qasim.

Knaresboro­ugh Town edged a point closer to safety as a Danny Edwards equaliser earned them a 1-1 draw at

Thackley, sitting six points clear of the bottom two.
