IT’S FLAT FINISH FOR BREWERS

THE season ended in defeat for the Brewers at home to Yorkshire Amateur.

First-half goals from Steven Crawford and Casey Stewart and a second-half strike by former Tadcaster man Junayd Cassius-Gill put the visitors out of sight.

Amateur opened the scoring in the 23rd minute as Crawford pulled off an audacious chip which just beat Harry Fisk.

Three minutes later Mark Ferguson almost levelled but his effort lacked power.

BEN Atkinson’s double sealed the East Division title for Liversedge with victory at Worksop Town.

Liversedge forced Sebastian Malkowski into several saves before they took the lead just after the half-hour mark.

Ross Daly was slipped down the left-hand side where the winger drilled the ball across the goal to Atkinson, who had the simple task of tapping into an open net.

The second period saw more of the same as Sedge dominated the early stages, 44th minute, giving Tad a real uphill battle.

Kesi Omolokun almost pulled one back in the last minute of the half, but his free header went over.

Yorkshire Amateur controlled the second half, adding the third in the 69th minute through Cassius-Gill.

ENTERTAINM­ENT: ★★★★★ doubling their lead with a sumptuous strike after 72 minutes when Atkinson found the top corner from just outside the area.

Porter made two late saves to deny Liam Hardy and Luke Hall as Liversedge held on to lift the title.
