HARBOROUGH TOWN lifted the Premier South title with a 2-2 draw at Buildbase FA Vase finalists Newport Pagnell Town. Paul Malone gave Harborough the lead only for Jake Watkinson to equalise, and after Christian Smail shot the hosts in front, Nat Ansu levelled the scores.

In a photo-finish to the end of the campaign, Harborough had beaten

Lutterwort­h Town 6-0 at home on Easter Monday while Hinckley hammered GNG Oadby Town 8-0. However, yesterday Hinckley drew 3-3 at

Long Buckby and ended up in second place, three points behind Harborough.

Stoppage-time goals from Loyiso Recci and Josh Thomas earned Rugby Town a third-placed finish with a 2-1 win at Potton United.

A Callum Stewart hat-trick saw Coventry Sphinx beat Rothwell Corinthian­s 3-0. Two goals from Tom Wakley and one each by Luca Iaciofano and Ryan Archer saw Cogenhoe win 4-1 at

Lutterwort­h Town.

Coventry United won 3-1 at Eynesbury Rovers with Joseph Agunbiade, Renato Prifti and Brian Ndlovu on target. A double from Luke Swann including a penalty, a goal each by Alfie Dunn and Harry Walkers and an own goal saw hosts Easington Sports beat

Godmanches­ter Rovers 5-2.

Struggling Biggleswad­e United beat

Bugbrooke St Michaels 2-0 with goals from Taylor Rhyney and Charlie Black.

Northampto­n ON Chenecks also won, beating Desborough Town 2-0 away, but still finished bottom.

Long-time Premier North leaders

Long Eaton United won the championsh­ip in style in a cup final-style winner-takes-all last game of the season against second-placed visitors Gresley Rovers on Easter Monday.

A first-half brace from Reco Fyfe secured a 2-0 victory for Long Eaton, managed by former Mansfield Town keeper Ian Deakin, in front of 1,368.

Long Eaton ended up three points clear of Gresley having lost only once. They will play in the Northern Premier League for the first time in their history.

Sleaford Town and a final-six place.

A goal from captain Ben Moore earned struggling Selston a 1-0 home win over Loughborou­gh Students.

BECKENHAM TOWN have taken the Premier South championsh­ip after their 3-0 victory over visitors Camberley Town in front of a crowd of 820.

On target were Tunde Aderonmu, Freddie Nyhus and Rob Carter.

Beckenham finished a point ahead of long-time pacesetter­s Walton & Hersham.

Raynes Park Vale are third – their best-ever finish – following their 2-0 home victory over Horley Town. Jordan Gallagher opened the scoring with his 42nd of the season and Brad Sweeney headed Vale’s 100th goal of the campaign.

A brace from Jack Marney following Nahum Green’s opener earned AFC Croydon Athletic a 3-0 win at Frimley Green, who were reduced to ten men in the closing stages.

George Doré and Billy Nutbeam were on target for Sheerwater in their 2-1 win at Balham.

Goals from Nic Ciardino and Danilo Cadete earned Badshot Lea a 2-1 win at Redhill.

Cobham were held 3-3 draw at home to basement side Molesey while Banstead Athletic drew 2-2 at Guildford City and Farnham Town fought out a goal-less draw at home to

Colliers Wood United.

Jersey Bulls’ last remaining league fixture, at home to Fleet Town, which was due to have been played yesterday, has been rearranged for next Saturday because of a lack of available flights.

Premier North champions Hanworth Villa crushed visitors St. Panteleimo­n 6-0 to finish the league season unbeaten. Sam Merson bagged a brace and there was a goal each for Bruno Tingle, Jordan Ellis, Michael Kamara and Gagan Samra.

Harvey Killeen hit four for North Greenford United as they beat visitors

CB Hounslow United 4-0.

Anthony O’Connor scored the only goal of the game as hosts Southall beat strugglers Holyport.

Ascot United lost 2-1 at home to

Egham Town, who netted via Luke Maguire and Trevan Robinson.

Tadley Calleva rounded off their debut season in the league with a 4-2 home victory over Edgware Town. Brett Denham scored two while Andrew Carley netted one and an own goal completed the scoreline. Goals from Kelvin Karanja and Josh Penemo plus a Conor Lee penalty saw Spelthorne Sports see off Abbey Rangers 3-2.

NORTHERN LEAGUE

CHAMPIONS North Shields ended the season with a 1-1 draw at topsix side West Auckland to finish nine points clear at the top.

The Robins fell behind in County Durham when Corey Nicholson’s cross midway through the first half bounced over keeper Ollie Marshall and into the net. David Robinson hit the home bar after the break before sub Kyle Patton converted Regan Paterson’s 74th-minute cross to equalise.

Thornaby secured a third-place finish after they got the better of Guisboroug­h Town 1-0 on Teesside. Craig Hutchinson’s strike after 23 minutes earned a 20th win of the season.

In the only other top flight game,

Sunderland RCA came from behind to win 2-1 at Redcar Athletic, who led on the half hour through Isaac Walker.

RCA levelled on the stroke of halftime through Jonathon Carr and then Michael Annang-Colquhoun completed the comeback seven minutes after the break.

Newcastle Benfield will play Ashington in the First Division cup final after they won 2-0 at Durham Challenge Cup winners Ryhope Collieries Welfare. Cameron Gascoigne opened the scoring on the half hour with Ryan McGorrigan bagging the clincher on 71 minutes.

Carlisle City took the race for the Second Division championsh­ip to the final week of the campaign following a narrow 2-1 win at winless and rock-bottom club Durham City, Tyler Bowman having the final say with an injury time winner.

MIDLAND FOOTBALL LEAGUE

WOLVERHAMP­TON Casuals ended a miserable Premier Division campaign on a high, storming to a last day 5-1 victory over Stourport Swifts.

Cassies could not have wished for a better start as goals from Kane Auld and Josh Hesson handed them a 2-0 lead inside eight minutes. Roman Sheehan and Jordan Wilson added to the scoreline before half-time with Hesson bagging his second early in the second period. Taylor Townsend scored a consolatio­n penalty for the visitors.

Walsall Wood also finished their season in style with a 3-0 defeat of runners-up Boldmere St Michaels.

Nearly 600 turned up to see former Villa youth teamer Adam McGurk bag a 34th minute opener before Maxim Zeuloveot netted a goal at the end of each half to secure the points.

Whitchurch Alport 3-1. Dean Morris was also on target for the home side after Alex Hughes had given the visitors a first half lead.

Champions Hanley Town rounded off their season with a goalless draw at Tividale and it was the same outcome at AFC Wulfrunian­s, Lye Town and Highgate United where Bewdley Town, Shifnal Town and Lichfield City were the respective visitors.

Meanwhile, the only other game in the league came at Haughmond where a late effort from Ben Tilbury wrapped up a narrow 1-0 victory for Worcester City.

SOUTHERN COUNTIES EAST

SHEPPEY UNITED are the champions after beating Tower Hamlets 3-0 on the final day.

The Ites needed to win to secure the title and Warren Mfula’s hat-trick got them across the line.

Chatham Town have also secured promotion despite having to settle for second spot. Andy Pugh’s goal on the hour put them ahead at Erith Town.A rare goal from George Sheminant doubled their advantage before Michael Power made it 2-1 at the death.

Lordswood’s 1-1 draw at home to

Holmesdale couldn’t stop them from filling the second relegation spot. They needed to better Rusthall’s result to climb to 18th but their rivals drew 4-4 with Erith and Belvedere after coming from 3-1 down. Nickal-David Luzolo also got on the scoresheet following his four goal haul in Monday’s 7-0 win at Tower Hamlets.

Fisher made it 13 goals in their last two games as they hammered K Sports 6-2. Juan Da Mata scored the first of his two goals in the opening minute with Isaacs Thompson netting a hat-trick.

Elsewhere, Adebola Sotoyinbo continued his excellent form for Welling Town as they ended the season with a 4-2 win at home to Tunbridge Wells after Fjord Rogers’ double failed to prevent a defeat for Richie Styles’ side.

Glebe achieved their best ever finish of third despite having to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to Kennington. The visitors will still be satisfied with finishing fifth in their first season at Step 5.

WESTERN LEAGUE

LIAM Prynn fired in an injury time penalty to seal the title for Tavistock in a thrilling climax to the season.

The forward showed nerves of steel to slot in the spot-kick and break the stubborn resistance of Ashton and Backwell United, as the Lambs earned a 1-0 victory that saw them crowned champions.

Tavistock went into the final day leading the title race by a slender margin on goal difference over Exmouth Town. But Town’s hopes of ending the season at the summit were scuppered by Shepton Mallet who frustrated the visitors in a goalless stalemate.

Elsewhere, third-placed Mousehole ended their campaign with a 2-1 defeat as a first-half double from Will Hailston earned Keynsham Town victory.

Second-half goals from Alex Camm, Callum Eastwood and Josh Morgan condemned bottom side Bridport to another defeat at the hands of seventh-placed Clevedon Town.

Saltash United returned to winning ways to secure fourth spot with Scott Crocker grabbing a brace and Sam Farrant also on target in a 3-0 victory over visitors Brislingto­n.

Substitute Kyle Paine netted the winner as Ilfracombe Town beat Bitton 2-1 after Dean Griffiths had cancelled out Joe Barker’s opener for the home side.

Street ended the season with back-to-back victories as they beat

Millbrook 3-0 but a serious injury led to the abandonmen­t of Helston Athletic’s clash against Buckland Athletic. Bowker was injured during a heavy collision with Buckland’s keeper.
