The Colliers took the lead on the stroke of half-time through Ben Harmison in front of a 941-strong crowd at Woodhorn Lane.

MIDLAND LEAGUE MAX HALL

STONE OLD Alleynians pulled off a shock 3-1 victory over title-chasing Darlaston Town 1874, opening up a three-goal lead before the visitors grabbed a late consolatio­n.

David Ablewhite opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 33 minutes following a foul on Finlay Pattison who then doubled the lead ten minutes into the second half.

Jack Bowater headed in the third on the hour and all Darlo had to show for their trip up the M6 was a 75th minute penalty from Lewis Gill.

Penalties were also central to the game between Market Drayton Town and

Wolves Casuals which finished 1-1, Isai Marselia’s spot kick for the visitors cancelling out an earlier one from Callum Parker.

Cal Thompson’s 69th minute minute strike looked to have handed Racing Club Warwick victory at AFC Wulfrunian­s only for Curtis Cocking to level a minute from time.

And it was the same scoreline as Atherstone Town where leaders Walsall Wood were held, Hayden Purves cancelling out Ryan Quinn’s early effort for the Adders. On a disappoint­ing day for the league’s front runners they also had Carter Lycett sent off.

Ben Worhtingto­n’s ninth minute goal was enough to hand victory to Bewdley Town at Whitchurch Alport and veteran Kyle Patterson scored the winner for Lichfield City as they edged out hosts Uttoxeter Town 3-2.

With Highgate United’s match with Shifnal Town being postponed, the only other game in the Premier saw Worcester City and Studley share the spoils in a 1-1 draw in front of 585 fans.
