THUMPING VAIN FOR
CORBY Town kept their part of the bargain in a six-way fight for two play-off places by demolishing a rival – only for their efforts to be in vain as all the others won.
Gary Setchell’s Steelmen knew it was a case of win and hope rivals dropped points but never looked back having moved in front in the 16th minute, Michael Jacklin smashing home from Florian Tsaguim’s cross.
