RING THE NEW YEAR CHANGES?
WELCOME to the latest update of this Fantasy Non-League season. Today’s update covers the period Monday, January 1 through to Saturday, January 6. In today’s update I give you news on your substitutions. Also, some very important information about the demise of Northern Premier side Marske United.
First of all, substitution news.
I have activated all the substitutions that I have received. You can tell your changes have been implicated by the
[S] symbol after your team’s name. If you think I have missed your substitutions, then please contact the FNL 2023/24 Helpdesk, contact details are at the bottom of this update. (You have until the end of January 2024 to do this).
Right now, onto the demise of Marske Utd from the Northern Premier League. If you have this team in your selection you will need to replace them. This must be done by the end of January 2024. I think we only have about 60 of you who have Marske United in your team and most of those 60 are trying to finish bottom. Before I layout the details of what you need to do, can I thank Eric Robins and Alan Gee (Stafford Rangers supporters) for their help in devising what I am going to do. This I think in the 20 year history of Fantasy Non-League has only happened twice.
Marske Utd played their last game on Saturday, December 30so after that game they had -95pts. That points total will be fixed into your calculation, and you will need to replace them with one of the following eight teams. Once you have picked your team you will receive points for the new team from Monday, January 1 (if you had Marske Utd as a Joker the new choice will also replace them). So, this will work the same as the substitutions.
So, pick one team from (make sure you don’t already have the team you pick)
1. Atherton Collieries 2. Bradford Park Avenue 3. Gainsborough Trinity 4. Stafford Rangers 5. Lancaster City 6. Workington
7. Ilkeston Town 8. Ashton Utd
There will be a form on the FNL Website so you can either use that, email, or text the FNL 2023/24 Helpdesk. Please note that if you have not done this change by January 31 I will make the change for you.
Finally with all the substitutions and the holiday period I have dropped back a bit with the text servicing and FNL Mini-Leagues. Normal service will be resumed in the coming days.
