RAYNERS LANE are five points clear at the top of Premier North after a 4-3 win over Chalfont St Peter.

Their 12th successive home win in the league came courtesy of goals from Troy Perez-Duah, Rio Connell, Josh Williams and a Frank Keita spot-kick conversion for their late winner.

The visitors had led through Craig Mathieson and Sam Wood before the hosts pulled level and then took the lead, only for Jamie Ovington to equalise.

Edgware & Kingsbury drew 1-1 at home to Wallingfor­d & Crowmarsh. Evan Aitchison gave the visitors the lead in the first half before captain Eoin Kane levelled after the break.

In Premier South, Jersey Bulls were held to a goalless draw by visitors Redhill, who surrendere­d their 100 per cent away record in the league this season.

However, a stoppage-time incident saw home keeper Pierce Roche shown a red card after bringing down Redhill substitute Tom Harland-Goddard when he was through on goal. Substitute keeper Luke Watson came on to take over between the sticks.

Sheerwater pulled off the shock result of the day when they beat hosts Horley Town 2-1 as Elliott York and George Sellick found the back of the net for what was only their fourth win of the season. The win lifted them off the foot of the table and sent Colliers Wood United, who were without a game, to the bottom.

Sandhurst Town returned from

Abbey Rangers with a 2-1 win, courtesy of strikes from Ben Harries and Ewan Lynch.

Cobham salvaged a 2-2 draw at home to Balham who’d led with goals from Luke Hedges and Tom Reid before Nick Osborn bagged a brace to pull level.

In the only game played in Division One, FC Deportivo Galicia were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Rising Ballers Kensington.

Division One Bedfont have signed attacking midfielder Evander Lopes and full-back Rolly Ilunga-Badiubanga. Lopes has previously played for Leatherhea­d, New Salamis, Abbey Rangers, FC Romania, Sutton Common Rovers, Guildford City and Redhill, while Ilunga-Badiubanga has turned out for Staines Town and more recently, Chalfont St Peter.

moved to the top of Premier South with a 3-1 home win over Yaxley, extending their unbeaten run to seven games.

Ryan Andrews and Josh Parsons gave the hosts a two-goal lead before Jezz Goldson-Williams pulled one back, with Callum Carsley adding Racing’s third with 10 minutes on the clock.

Coventry United beat visitors Eynesbury Rovers 4-2 with goals by Joseph Agunbiade, Daniel Cassidy, Stanley Dube and Felix Donkor.

Rugby Borough beat visitors Godmanches­ter Rovers 3-0 with Antonio Cristofaro and Ben Whitehead finding the the net in the first half and Jamal Adams adding the third after the break.

Thomas Lees-Collier, Kaylum Mitchell and Jordan Smith delivered the goods for hosts AFC Mansfield in their 3-1 victory over Newark & Sherwood United in Premier North.

Deeping Rangers took the lead against visitors Belper United via a firsthalf direct free-kick from Liam Hook, with Josh Moreman adding their second after the interval for a 2-1 victory.

A Gary King brace, including a late winner, plus one goal by Cenk Acar, gave Skegness Town a 3-2 win at Eastwood CFC, who twice replied via Kyle Tomlin.

Wisbech Town boss Alex Street has signed former Cambridge City and

Yaxley left-back Alfie Wren and has also brought Lewis Thompson back to the club as player-coach. Thompson, who first played for Wisbech in their youth team and has been battling a long-term injury, was most recently at Yaxley and this season signed for Swaffham Town.

Lutterwort­h Town have signed former Lye Town and Nuneaton Boro U21s attacking midfielder Zach Tellyn from

Coventry United. Manager Will Andrew said: “Zach is a very good addition to our young talented squad. He will fit in very well with how we are trying to develop and progress this season.”

Premier North title-chasers Sherwood Colliery have signed central midfielder Harry Bircumshaw. He signed for

Mansfield Town on a profession­al U21s contract in July 2018 after two title-winning seasons with the club’s U18s.

The player then spent four years studying at university in the USA and chose Sherwood on his return to the UK.
