RAVENS BOSS WOODMAN SCOOPS TOP AWARD

ANDY Woodman shone as the diamond for December after being named Vanarama National League Manager of the Month.

The Bromley boss went through the month unbeaten, orchestrat­ing four league victories and a FA Trophy win over Slough Town.

National League top scorer Paul McCallum earned the Player of the Month award after finishing 2023 with six goals in five league game.

With 26 goals to his name, McCallum is the top scorer across England’s top five leagues, averaging a goal every 82 minutes.

Chorley boss Andy Preece picked up the National League North Manager of the Month award as the Magpies triumphed over Buxton, Banbury, Curzon Ashton, and Spennymoor, while beating Blyth Spartans in the FA Trophy.

The player award went to Kyle Finn, who has played a vital role in helping Tamworth climb to the top of the table, scoring four goals.

In National League South, Truro City boss Paul Wotton was named Manager of the

Month after guiding the White Tigers to four wins out of five in December to move clear of the relegation zone.

Truro toppled St Albans City, Weston-super-Mare and Havant & Waterloovi­lle over Deecmber was undoubtedl­y a 1-0 victory over south-west rivals Torquay United on Boxing Day, witnessed by a crowd of nearly 4,000.

The Player of the Month award was a near foregone conclusion with Worthing’s prolific striker Ollie Pearce collecting the award after scoring eight goals including two hat-tricks, and contribute­d four assists.

Already on 20 goals for the season, seven more than his closest competitor, Pearce is the driving force behind Worthing’s push for promotion.
