TITLE-chasing Sherwood Colliery saw off lowly visitors Pinchbeck United 3-0 thanks to strikes by skipper Jobe Shaw, Craig Westcarr, Harry Bircumshaw and Aaron Korpal.

The goal was Korpal’s first since returning to the Debdale Park club. Korpal first joined the Wood in November 2022 after he was released from the Nottingham Forest academy.

He scored five goals in 12 games for them before switching to Anstey Nomads, who he helped win the Premier North title and earn promotion.

He has spent most of this season playing the United States before returning to the UK a few weeks ago. A Sherwood statement said: “The club are delighted to have Aaron back on board.”

Wellingbor­ough Town triumped 3-0 at Aylestone Park with goals from Neo Richard-Noel, Jorrin John and Jessi Obeng. Two goals from Ryan Lennon including the first in the fourth minute gave Sleaford Town a 2-1 victory over struggling visitors Hucknall Town.

Hucknall have signed 19-year-old centre-half Taylor Jaine on dual registrati­on with Boston United. Also arriving is 22-year-old winger Sam Smith.

Home side Yaxley beat Rugby Borough 3-0 with Oleksandar Muzychuk, Kellan Hickinson and Efraim Romanos finding the back of the net.

Newark & Sherwood United came from behind to see off visitors Heanor Town 3-1 thanks to goals from Ben Henderson, Liam Moran and Renaldo Smith.
