SINCE we launched 1000GBP. com at the start of this season, we’ve often been asked questions about us and The Ultimate Football Quiz.

These increased when we began our recent partnership with our friends at The Non-League Paper and The Football League Paper and especially since we’ve featured interviews and stories about some of the many NonLeague clubs who’ve already been awarded thousands of pounds in winnings.

WHAT IS 1000GBP.com?

1000GBP.com is a new online football quiz we’ve created to support Non-League football clubs by organising exciting quizzes and competitions with great prizes for football fans AND their local teams.

The top prize each week is £1000, with 49 additional weekly prizes, and what makes us unique is that half of all cash prizes are donated to the NonLeague club nominated by the players. In addition, up to 30% of all player fees are also donated to the clubs, regardless of whether the questions are answered correctly!

Through our own experience, we know it’s increasingly challenging for grassroots football clubs to keep up with rising costs. That’s why we’re here to help by providing a simple and fun way for you to raise funds for your local club and we are delighted that clubs and quiz players have already won more than £75,000 since our recent launch.

Our series of weekly football quizzes challenge adult football fans of all ages to test their knowledge about a range of subjects and there will be a separate prize draw every day of the week so you have the chance to enter up to seven different competitions at a time.

There are now some very special competitions where you can win tickets and hospitality packages to some of the key Premier League matches in the coming weeks. These include Arsenal v Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City and Manchester Utd v Arsenal.

HOW CAN I PLAY?

It is very easy to play. All you have to do is register at www.1000GBP.com and use your initial free questions, or purchase a package of your choice. Select a category and set the level you wish to play for by choosing how fast you think you can answer the question. The shorter the time selected, the more points you can win.

Click on the ‘reveal your question’ button to display one question and four possible answers. If you choose the correct answer within the time you selected, you’ll be awarded points and be entered into the weekly prize draw.

WHO CAN PLAY?

Anyone can register and play The Ultimate Football Quiz so long as you are 18 years old and resident in the UK when you register and play. A full list of terms and conditions is at www.1000GBP.com but the quiz is open to all football fans, regardless of which team you support!

WHAT DOES 1000GBP.com MEAN?

It stands for One Thousand Great British Pounds as that is the Supreme Jackpot prize on offer each Sunday. As the project grows and develops, we aim to increase the number and value of the prizes but we have named the project after our iconic British currency.

ARE YOUR QUESTIONS CREATED BY AI?

No! All our questions are individually researched, written and checked by members of our own team who love and follow football at all levels.

That means that they can often surprise and entertain as well as providing challengoptions for players of all generations.

WHAT ARE THE QUESTION CATEGORIES?

We’ve started with four categories that cover the England team, the Premier League, the FA Cup and the League Cup (it has had so many names that we decided to stick with the generic one that most people probably still know it by!).

We’ll soon be adding new questions that cover the national teams of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and, as with the England category, those will feature questions on their players, managers, records, results and involvement in the major tournaments.

Look out also for the new sections on the Champions League, World Cup and other tournaments, as well as more categories about our domestic football.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PLAY 1000GBP.com?

We have three different question packages: The Play-Off Package cost £4.99 for seven questions with 10% of this will be given to your chosen Non-League club. The Promotion Package costs £10.99 for 18 questions with 20% of this passed on, while The Champion Package costs £16.99 for 34 questions with 30% of this given to your designated club. The more questions you purchase, the cheaper they become.

HOW ARE THE COMPETITION WINNERS SELECTED?

Each competition ends at 3pm on the specified day. Players will have accumulated points during the course of the coming petition and those are each converted to separate entries into the prize draw.

We use an independent specialist company, www.randompicker.com, to conduct all prize draws and they randomly select the winners of each competition from all the people who have correctly answered a question within the allocated time. Each individual player can only win one prize per competition.
