What is your No.1 goal-den moment?

- HUCK NETS Goal of the Season

THERE’S simply nothing like a wonder goal to wow the crowds – and we’ve been truly blessed with some absolute beauties again this season.

The Goal of the Season award, sponsored by our friends at Huck Nets, is contended by a number of worthy nominees with spectacular efforts flying in all over the show.

Taking into account well-worked team goals, pieces of individual skill or a long-range belter, this is one of the hardest awards to decide.

And it’s fair to say The NLP panel will again have their work cut out to crown a winner at the Isuzu National Game Awards ceremony, held at AFC Wimbledon’s Plough Lane Stadium on Wednesday May 22.

Having some of these moments captured on social media videos of course makes life easier for the judges, but it will still be a tough task deciding who will follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner Dan Bartlett for his Beckhamesque strike from the halfway line for Wimborne Town against Bristol Manor Farm.

If it’s big goals on the big stage you’re after then how about Hertford Town player/manager Ben Herd netting from a full 70 yards to earn his Southern League Division One Central side victory over Kempston Rovers.

The former Aldershot Town defender doesn’t score many goals but when he does they are usually pretty special.

Talking of long-rangers, how about Tom Broadbent’s effort for South Shields against Scarborough Athletic – the former soldier picking the ball up in his own half, striding 20 yards across the halfway line and then letting fly inside the centre circle, finding the top corner. What a strike!

AFC Fylde’s Nick Haughton smashed a worldy from inside his own half against Wealdstone, while AFC Portchester’s Lee Wort found the net straight from kick-off in an 8-1 FA Cup win over Tadley Calleva.

If overhead kicks are your speciality how about Luke Benbow’s beauty for Stourbridge against Kettering Town or Matt Britton’s screamer for Tiverton Town against Swindon Supermarine.

There’s simply too many to choose from so that’s why we need your votes to help crown our master striker. Get those votes in now.
