Between 3pm and 7.15pm on May 10 an attempt was made to force entry into a house on Bruce Place, Plantation, Fort William via the front door where damage was caused to the handle and lock.

Between 5pm May 8 and 11am on May 9, two vehicles had their tyres slashed on Kennedy Road, Plantation, Fort William.

About 4.45pm on May 8 a man approached a cyclist sitting on a bench at The Parade in Fort William, compliment­ing him on his bicycle. After asking the cyclist to try the bike, the suspect rode off towards the An Aird area. The suspect is described as about 22 years of age, white, 6ft tall, of slim build, with short dark hair, dark blue jeans but not wearing a top.

Between 7pm on May 7 and 9am the following day, 100 litres of fuel was syphoned from a boat called The Big Dipper at Mallaig Harbour.

About 12.50am on May 7 on Moss Road, Caol, a set of industrial jump leads, red and black in colour, were taken from a vehicle.

Between May 5 and 7, six bags of wooden pellets used for a biomass heating system were stolen from the rear of an address on Blar Mhor road, Caol.

Between April 28 and 29 a parking meter at the Glen Nevis visitor centre was damaged after an attempt was made to gain entry to the cash box it contained.

Between 3pm and 5.10pm on April 28 a folding motorised golf trolley was taken from a cupboard in the changing rooms at the Dragon’s Tooth golf course at Ballachuli­sh.

Between April 25 and 27, a vehicle was scratched along the bonnet and front doors while parked at an address on Heather Grove, Caol.

Between March 18 and 28 approximat­ely 300 litres of fuel was taken from a compressor drilling machine sited in a layby about a quarter mile west of Poulary, Invergarry, while being used in connection to house building at the location.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who has any informatio­n about these incidents and remind the community to secure all property and valuables and to lock outhouses, sheds and vehicles. Police also request assistance from the community in the prompt reporting of any suspicious people, vehicles or activities, and to contact 101 or Crimestopp­ers anonymousl­y on 0800 555111.
