‘Seeker Reaper’ by Kenneth Thomson

THE poster I attach to the article this week is for ‘Seeker Reaper’, Kenneth Thomson’s musical setting of the Kintyre Scots poetry of George Campbell Hay.

As I wrote last week, I am excited to perform this wonderful music alongside pianist Andrew Dunlop from Connel and the choir of the Glasgow Gaelic Musical Association. Campbell Hay’s poetry is superb (full of nostalgic praise for his boat as she sails from Kintyre round the west of Scotland and to Ireland) and Kenneth Thomson’s musical interpretation of his words is perfect.

It is well worth coming along to hear the music.
