Dalmally
GRAEME MacKechnie secured his first silverware of the season with victory in the Cowan Cup at Dalmally Golf Club on Sunday. Entering the second round four shots behind overnight leader Martin O’Keefe, MacKechnie returned a highly creditable net 62 to add to his first round 65, allowing him to overturn the deficit and record a three-shot win.
Ladies results (net scores): Braigh Quaich and medal - 1 Caroline Manson 68; 2 Sheila Tollan 69; 3 Lily McKay 70. Club championship round two and medal - 1 Lily McKay 63; 2 Ann Munro 68; 3 Colleen Brown 69.
The club’s popular gents opens are being run again in July with a swap in dates this year. First up is the open singles on Sunday July 3 followed on Sunday July 24 by the three-man open Stableford.

Glencruitten
THE TEAM of Neil Armour, Duncan Forgrieve and Willie McAdam won the three-man Stableford at Glencruitten on Saturday with a score of 109 points. Graeme Darling, Sean Dunstaffnage and Cameron Milne were second with 104 points. Alan Jamieson, David MacLean and Steven McCuish were third with 99 points.
On Sunday the McVitie Price took place with Neil Armour and Bunt Menassa winning with a score of 85 – 21 = 64. Kirsty MacKenzie and Malcolm MacKillop were second with a score of 87 – 19 =68.
On Saturday the championship first round and George Smith first round takes place and a Stableford on Tuesday.
