-

THIS year’s Scottish Schools Orienteering event was held at Dalkeith Country Park just outside Edinburgh recently.

Oban High School, Lochgilphead High School and Tayvallich Primary School were represented by juniors from the local orienteering club EckO.

Courses were flat and fast and the MacMillan family did well with first place finishes for Jura and Iris in the S4 girls and P5/6 girls races respectively and a second place finish for Louis in the S2 boys race.

Oban High School just missed out on medal positions with Callum Hunter and Rona Shearer both achieving fourth position in the S5/6 boys and S1 girls but Oban High achieved fifth overall out of the 24 high schools competing.
