Baggage stolen

POLICE in Oban are studying CCTV footage to try to trace the thief who stole a red rucksack and a green holdall from outside the CalMac offices in the town. The thefts happened on Thursday June 9 at around 5am.

Car targeted

DOOR-TO- DOOR inquiries are continuing in Dalmally after someone smashed the rear window of a car in Scott Terrace between 1pm and 9pm on Wednesday June 8.

The black Vauxhall Corsa contained a set of golf clubs which were left in the vehicle, leading police believe the suspect may have been disturbed.

Bogus callers alert

OFFICERS are warning residents of Dunbeg to be on the alert for possible bogus callers.

A number of villagers reported seeing a blue panel van with around five people in it in the area and several locals reported being visited by strangers purporting to sell items such as plants.

Vandals strike

TWO cars in Tobermory have been damaged by vandals.

In one incident, a blue Audi A3 parked in Ledaig car park was found with three-foot-long scratch. It is thought to have been damaged between 6pm on June 7 and 1pm on June 9.

In the other incident, a silver Saab was vandalised while in Main Street between 7pm on June 8 and 11am on June 9.

Anyone with any informatio­n about any of these incidents is asked to call police on 101.
