Medical incident halts Fort traffic

TRAFFIC was brought to a standstill in Fort William on Tuesday afternoon (February 21) following a medical incident involving a man in his 30s.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokespers­on said: ‘We received a call at 2.10pm to attend an incident near the Nevis Bank roundabout.

‘We dispatched one ambulance and an officer to the scene. One male patient in his 30s was taken to Belford Hospital, Fort William.’

Police Scotland confirmed officers attended the scene to control traffic. One lane was re- opened just before 3pm, with the other opening shortly afterwards.
