Bluebell Music Festival – Now in its 8th Year!

-

The Bluebell Festival is a three day long FREE music festival (and mud free too!) held in the large beer garden of The George Hotel, Inveraray on the last weekend in May. Now in its 8th year, the team at The George are looking forward to welcoming you to what promises to be bigger and better than ever before! As well as non-stop FREE music thanks to the George there is beer, spirits and cocktails flowing to the wee hours. An amazing BBQ is available all day if you get hungry. The event kicks off on the Friday night with British Country band, ‘Ashton Lane’. Their most recent album Nashville Heart received five star reviews and radio support around the UK and Europe. They are followed by headliners ‘Into the Ark’ who many will recognise as finalists in this years ‘ The Voice’. This highly acclaimed newcomer duo from Blackwood in South Wales will be touring the UK & Ireland in May 2017 – this is a great opportunity to hear them live, locally! Then it's all day music on the Saturday and Sunday. Picks of the bunch are The Badboys and The Camans on Saturday night and The Wild West fancy dress party on the Sunday night featuring Starsky and The Shiverin' Sheiks among many other country and western artists! Accommodation can be difficult to get over the weekend so book early to avoid disappoint. Visit www.exploreargyll.co.uk and click on the ‘stay and eat’ link for a list of local accommodation providers. There is often a minibus to ferry visitors to local accommodation at the end of the night.
