Inverness Graded Meet - This is a competition for swimmers who do not have a time faster than qualifying time for the North District Championship. The team had 30 new personal bests from 39 swims and two qualifying times for North District.

Hannah, 11, won Gold in the 100m Individual Medley, Silver (100m Front Crawl), Lauren (12) Gold 100m Butterfly and 6th in 100m Back Crawl.

Elizabeth, 11, had two great individual swims, finishing 5th (100m Breaststroke) and 8th (100m Back Crawl). Caitlin, 11, had three individual events and got new best times in all of the swims - 100m Front Crawl, Back Crawl and IM. Rhianna, 12, in her only individual swim, got a great new best for 100m Front Crawl time, only 0:16s short of breaking the 1:20 barrier, placing her 7th. Jude, 12, in her three individual swims (100m IM, Front Crawl and Back Crawl) got two new personal bests and three top 10 placings.

Eilidh, 11, who after taking seven seconds off her 100m Individual Medley took 39 seconds off her 100m Breaststroke, demolished all opposition in her heat.

Kai, 12, only had the 100m Breaststroke race other than relays. Kai took an amazing 22 seconds off his previous time. Alistair, 13, got Gold in the 100m Back Crawl, which again was previously always a weaker stroke for Alistair, so to win Gold and get a six second personal best in a time that would have qualified him for this year’s championships is a job well done. Gabriel, 13, had good swims in the 100m IM and Front Crawl, both new personal bests, and also a particularly good swim in the first leg of the winning IM relay team. Alloa Meet: 13/14-year- olds. Alice-Ann: New personal bests for 100 Back Crawl, 200m IM and 100m Breaststroke. Siobhan: New personal bests in 100 Back Crawl, 200 IM and 100m Breaststroke. Millie: New best time in 100m Back Crawl.

Poppy had a remarkable 10 second improvement in her 100 Butterfly.

Jenna: New best times in her 100m Breaststroke, 200m IM and 100m Back Crawl as well as great swims in all Front Crawl races.

Alistair got a new personal best in the 200 IM. This shows an improvement in all four strokes but also in stamina over the 200m distance.

Aimee got two new club records in her 200m IM (Gold medal), 100m Butterfly (Silver) and Gold in 100 Breaststroke.

Jack: New club records in the 100m Breaststroke and 200 IM, as well as a bronze medal in the 100m Back Crawl. William: New personal bests in the 100m Front Crawl and 100m Breaststroke. Good swims and definitely better to come.

The four x 50m Front Crawl relay team of Aimee, Siobhan, Evie-jay and Jenna won the open relay event by 0:2 of a second beating Dundee City, City of Glasgow and Perth City teams.

Alloa graded meet on Saturday and Alloa Age Group meet on Sunday, both at Stirling.

The club had three swimmers at the Graded meet. Kai, 12, had an amazing haul of one Gold, three Bronze and a fourth place medal in his five races. He also bagged three new personal bests. He then returned on Sunday to take 14 seconds off his previous best times in his 100m Front Crawl, beating his previous personal best from the Saturday, 200m IM and a new age group record in his 100m Butterfly, which would also be a new record for the club’s 13-yearolds.

Shammon, 8, has great times so three new personal bests from her 50m swims were well merited and no disqualifications were also bonus.

Sean, 10, had two swims and a new personal best in his 100m Back Crawl, and finished 7th in the 50 Breaststroke. Lochaber collected three golds and two bronze medals, 28 personal bests, eight club age group records and four new club records.

The 11/12 age group: Evie-Jay, 12, kept taking time off her already impressive personal bests in her 100m Front and Back as well as her 200 IM. This was Evie’s first competition in the 12 age group. She still managed to get a 4th place in the Back crawl. She also has three other good swims including a great relay leg.

Danni, 11, also competing in the 11/12 age group, had a number of great swims, including new best times in her 100m Fly and Back as well as 200 IM. Danni has been training hard since her inclusion into the Highland Swim Team with an increased focus to her training.

Rhianna, 12), was the only swimmer to get a best time for her 50m Frontcrawl so to take almost two seconds off such a short event was a major achievement. Indigo, 12, took 12 seconds from his previous 200 IM time, 11 seconds off his 100m Back Crawl and three seconds off his 100m Front Crawl.
