Glencruitten

ANDREW McHardie won the Stableford finals at Glencruitten Golf Club on Saturday with a total of 36 points. James Scott was runner-up with 35 points. Andrew also won the Ginty Trophy with a score of 73 – 11 = 62. James Scott was again runner-up with a score of 88 – 25 = 63.

The Medal finals take place on Saturday and the Glencruitten Family Cup takes place on Sunday.

Dalmally

THE ANNUAL Marie Curie Shield Mixed Pairs Competition at Dalmally on Sunday September 3 attracted a good field in mixed weather conditions.

The course played reasonably well and, as one commentator put it, ‘the greens were amazing – a tribute to the greenkeeping team’. The event was much enjoyed by everyone with catering up to the usual high Dalmally standards and, importantly, it raised £100 for the wonderful Marie Curie charity.

The winners were William Dougal and Ann Munro with 34 points and Jim Livingstone and Lilly McKay, as runner-up with 30 points.
