Thursday September 14 Beinn a’ Chlachair, Glen Spean Start from the car park by the bridge over the River Spean at Moy, NN433830.

Cross the bridge and follow the track to the head of Lochan na Earba. Turn on to the footpath and follow it SE up beside the Allt Coire Pitridh to the Bealach LeamhainEX. Continue SE up the path until it levels out at NN490797, then turn S and climb steeply up the spur. When the gradient eases, head SW for the small summit at 977m.

Continue SW up to the summit of Bein a’ Chlachair, 1,087m. Descend SW curving W to the footpath beside the Allt Cam and follow it N to Lubvan. Continue N on the track to rejoin the outward route and follow it back to the start. Grade: S; Distance: 22Km; Height to climb: 850m; Map(s): LR42 EX393. Meet at Fort William WM NN112742 at 0900. Saturday September 16 Creag Liaragan, Crianlaric­h Start in Glen Dochart at the turn off for Lochdochar­t House NN439272 where minimal parking is available. Follow the estate road, cross the river and turn left. About ½ Km W towards the house at NN43534275­03 a gap in the forest leads N to the open hillside.

Climb N across the slope to pass E of the crags of Creag Iubhair and then W up to a small summit at 465m. Continue W, following the edge of the escarpment and crags, curving SW to reach Creag Liaragan 558m.

Descend W then SW to pick up the forest track at NN386262. This leads to Inverhagge­rnie and the A82 at Inverheriv­e. Transport required.

Grade: M; Distance: 11Km; Height to climb: 500m; Map(s): LR50, EX364/365. Meet at: Longsdale car park, Oban NM862307 at 0915; Glencoe Village CP NN098587 at 0930. Start of walk 1030. Leader: Andrew Gilbert, 07808 924722.

Sunday September 17 Corran Druim na Sgriodain Cross the Corran Ferry on foot and walk to Cille Mhaodain.

Steeply climb the open hillside to reach the summit of Sgurr na h-Eanchainne (730m), a tremendous viewpoint.

Head west past Lochan a’ Choire Dhuibh around the corrie, then to the summit – the highest point on this walk. Descend the long curving ridge and follow it as it swings east. Drop north into the corrie and cross the burn just before it cascades over the lip. Follow the path down the north side and head for an aerial, then a track through the forest to Ardgour House.

Cross the bridge and track SE to the minor road at Clovullin, and thence to the Inn at Ardgour – (12km, 850m ascent).

PLEASE NOTE TIMING FOR THIS WALK: Meet at Fort William at 8.30am, and at the Corran slip at 9am for the 9.15am ferry.
