Jura music fest has the island jumping

-

THE 24TH JURA Music Festival was hailed as another great success by organisers, with a weekend of music and entertainment for all ages.

Taking place on September 30 and October 1, the popular local concert kicked off proceedings.

Saturday evening was ably hosted by Norrie McIver and Archie McAllister, a fantastic double-act.

They were followed onto the stage by a line-up of some of the best of young Scottish musicians, with The Young Trads and Talisk ensuring the crowd had a fantastic time.

Heron Valley topped of the evening and had everyone up on their feet for a cracking ceilidh.

Sunday evening in the Cooperage brought the festival to a close with HoRo getting the crowd up on their feet with some brilliant tunes, followed by Tide Lines who had the place jumping – a perfect end to a great weekend.
