Well-known Argyll businessman dies

ONE of the area’s best-known figures, Murdo MacLeod, died suddenly but peacefully at his Achnaba home on Wednesday November 29 at the age of 70.

Along with his twin Kenny, Mr MacLeod was a founder in 1975 of the business that became MacLeod Construction Ltd, and he retained an active role in the business to the end.

Following a well-attended funeral service yesterday, Mr MacLeod was interred at Kilevin cemetery, Minard.
