New Oban beauty salon raises £305 for charity
AN OBAN woman has raised £305 for the MS Centre at the launch of her beauty salon – Oro Rosa.
A capacity crowd attended Natalie Pacitti’s opening night, buying raffle tickets in the hundreds.
The MS Centre is a charity close to her heart, as her grandmother suffers from the condition.
Natalie, who has worked as a mobile beautician for the past eight months, attends the centre once a month to carry out beauty treatments.
‘I wanted to give back to the centre who helped her when she needed it most,’ the 22-year-old said. ‘I love working in there once a month. I love my regular ladies and making them happy.
‘It makes me feel good to know I make others feel good. That’s why I love my job so much.’
She added: ‘The opening night was amazing. The turnout was unbelievable.
‘If you had told me last year that I would have my own salon now, I would have laughed in your face. I never thought I’d ever manage to do something like this.
‘I’d like to thank Ronnie from the Jobcentre. If he didn’t believe in me and support me from the second I walked in there, clueless and scared, then I don’t think I’d be here doing this right now.’
During the launch party, Natalie gave a make-up demonstration before the raffle, which featured prizes such as Oban Live tickets.
Natalie wanted to thank all the businesses and individuals who donated to the raffle, as well as everyone who helped get the salon ready and attended the opening night.
The make-up and beauty bar is located at 22 High Street, Oban.
