Memorable day for young mascot Tom

-

YOUNG Tom Corns from Taynuilt was star of the show when he attended his first international rugby match.

Lucky Tom was a mascot at the recent Scotland v Australia match and what a game it was, with lots of tries, a red card and Scotland winning. Tom told his mum that he liked running out onto the pitch with Stuart McInally, singing Flower of Scotland, meeting lots of players, especially Stuart Hogg, his yummy half time burger and to top it all off meeting legend Doddie Weir on the way home at the tram stop.

At the end of the game, Tom announced to his English dad that he no longer wanted to play for England as he wants to be Scotland’s number 9.

Since the game he hasn’t taken his Scotland shirt off and has been practicing his box kicking, scrum half pass and side step.
