Artist chosen for Hebrides project

NEILSTON-BASED artist Julie Aitken will travel to the Outer Hebrides to engage young people in nature and the environment through workshops backed by the Future Routes Fund.

Future Routes is funded by Scottish Natural Heritage and administered by ReRoute, Scotland’s Youth Biodiversity Panel, with support from Young Scot.

Julie was one of 11 applicants chosen from across Scotland to develop a project to encourage young people’s interest in nature during the Year of Young People.
