£788,000 boost for Morvern hub

RESIDENTS in Morvern can look forward to having a community hub again thanks to a six-figure grant from the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (RCGF).

Morvern Community Business Hub has been awarded £788,000 which will re-establish a site in the heart of the Lochaline village for the local community, visitors and for enterprise activity.

Morvern Community Development Company announced: ‘This is very exciting news for the community of Morvern and for the development of the old Scout hut site.’

The six-figure grant is part of a £3.6 million programme of funding. Four Highland projects in total will benefit from this funding, including the Thomas Telford Corpach Marina.
