-

TILHILL Forestry has warned of potential health and safety risks associated with its wood harvesting along Wades Road but assured residents it is doing everything to minimise risks.

Fencing will be put up around machinery, but there will be risks with timber stacks. Although the stacks may be appealing for youngsters to climb on, they pose a serious risk and can be dangerous.

Kinlochleven High School was asked to advise youngsters of the dangers and Tilhill will only fell during school hours to make sure there is no felling activity when pupils are walking to or from school.

Fencing started last Monday March 5, with machinery arriving towards the end of the week.
