Knitted chicks go ‘cheep’ for charity

KNITTERS at Oban’s New Hope charity have been clicking their needles to make Easter chicks and raise funds.

Basketfuls of the little wooly creatures, hiding chocolate cream eggs, have been selling like hot Easter buns for £1.50 each at the town’s Made In Argyll shop.

Stasiu, 7, and sister Danusiu Gluchy, 6, who were visiting Oban at the weekend from Grangemouth with their parents were all smiles when they posed with the cute knitted chicks for The Oban Times photographer.

Proceeds from sales of the chicks will go to the charitable work of New Hope in Soroba Road.
