Have your say on funding projects in Oban area
PEOPLE in Oban, Lorn and the Isles can have their say on how money is spent in their area by voting on the council’s Supporting Communities Fund, which goes live next month.
Earlier this year, local groups and organisations posted their project ideas on a website created specifically for the fund - the local community will benefit by up to £2,500 per project idea. Now residents are being given the chance to vote for their favourite.
There are four funds – with £28,893 available for Oban, Lorn and the Isles – and people can vote for as many projects as they like, up to the total value of funding available in their area.
Argyll and Bute Council’s policy lead for communities Councillor Robin Currie said: ‘This is a unique opportunity for people to vote for projects that could make a huge difference to communities across Argyll and Bute.’
Further information will be announced when voting opens. To find out more about this project visit www.argyll-bute. gov.uk/abpb
