Rape Crisis youth work praised by MP

-

A CHARITY working with young people to discuss issues around ‘sexting’, boundaries and grooming, has been praised by Argyll and Bute MP Brendan O’Hara.

He visited Argyll Rape Crisis at its offices in Dunoon to support the team which also works with survivors of sexual violence and affected families and friends.

Argyll Rape Crisis, which also has an office in Oban, provides emotional and practical support services to people aged over 12.

The charity also has a youth project which delivers age-appropriate prevention workshops in schools and youth clubs.

Mr O’Hara said: ‘I was hugely impressed by the level of dedication, commitment, service and humanity which Argyll and Bute Rape Crisis provides and their work with youngsters to raise awareness of what constitutes appropriate behaviours.’
