Taynuilt strawberry tea boosts carers’ funds

Oban Inner Wheel served up a fundraising treat at their strawberry tea in Taynuilt.

A torrential downpour failed to stop people turning out for the event on Wednesday June 13, held for the second year in the village hall. Last year’s event raised £400 for Riding For The Disabled and this year’s funds will go to North Argyll Carer’s Centre in Albany Street. The Inner Wheel group has already raised £1,000 for the carers’ charity this year.

‘We’re hoping the strawberry tea will top that up nicely,’ said Inner Wheel member Christine Marlow.
